Noel is the epitome of an artist for whom musical divisions of genre and style are pointless demarcations, I think... Tradition is important but not something to become stultifying...this session is refreshing in that sense...wasn't it Duke Ellington who remarked that there aren't different types of music; just good or bad music? This is so good!!
